My name is Grant Manning. I am the Residential Service Manager at Commercial Service. The workday starts at about 7 in the morning with the technicians and getting them out into the field.
The most appealing part of my job is that it’s never boring. There’s always something happening and it keeps the excitement levels up.
The position that I started in at Commercial Service was the Residential Dispatcher, so I was mainly just dealing with the technicians and kind of directing them through their day. It’s kind of evolved into more of a managerial role now.
When it gets hot, a lot of people need service. When it gets cold, a lot of people need service. The challenging part is get them (the units) back and running.
The best thing about working here is the people. I really enjoy my coworkers and we really have a kind of team-oriented base here. We all have the same goals and we’re all working for the same things.
