Team Member: Grant Manning

This month, we’re moving from the world of finance to residential services. If you have had a good experience scheduling a service, interacting with a technician, or anything in between, Grant Manning was one of the team members responsible for the exceptional customer service you received.
Tell us a little about your role at Commercial Service. How long have you been at the company, and what does your day look like at Commercial Service?
My role at Commercial Service is the Residential Service Manager. I’ve been with Commercial Service for eight years. My daily duties are mainly involved with speaking to customers via phone and email and scheduling/dispatching our technicians. Basically, facilitating the service/maintenance call from the customer to the technician. I also quote/schedule repairs, order parts, invoice and deal with all warranty parts.
What excited you about Commercial Service and made you want to join the team?
I knew a few people that worked at Commercial Service prior to me joining the company. I think what excited me most was hearing from them and the positive feedback about their experiences working at Commercial Service. I knew Commercial Service treated their employees with great respect and had created an environment that I wanted to be a part of.
With spring around the corner, what are some of your favorite activities in warm weather?
Some of my warm weather activities I enjoy are playing golf, yard work, and traveling.
Bloomington has some great restaurants! Do you have a favorite in the community?
I enjoy pizza, so some of my favorite restaurants are Mother Bear’s, Nick’s English Hut, and Lennie’s.
What's your least favorite household chore?
My least favorite household chore is doing dishes.
What are you looking forward to accomplishing for/with Commercial Service this year?
This year I’m excited about our new online scheduling feature that was recently released. It allows our customers to schedule service/maintenance online by viewing our available time slots and choosing which day/times work best in their schedules.
